We are a collective of compassionate professionals with both academic expertise and hands-on experience in child development, youth empowerment, and family dynamics
Our team specializes in trauma-informed care, behavioral and emotional management, and community-based interventions, addressing critical issues like child neglect, intimate partner violence, and educational disparities.
Grounded in research and real-world practice, we bridge gaps in mental healthcare, parenting support, and social services—equipping African children, youth, and families with tools to heal, grow, and thrive beyond systemic barriers.

Our mission is to empower Africa's vulnerable children, youth, and families through equitable access to counseling, education, and community support.
The African Children, Youth & Families Resource Center (ACYFRC) exists to #TakeBackOurFuture by creating a safety net for Africa’s most vulnerable communities. We work tirelessly to provide equitable access to critical resources – from clinical counseling and trauma support to positive parenting programs and educational interventions.
Our Vision
We envision an Africa where every individual thrives regardless of circumstance - with quality education, dignified aging, and violence-free communities.
Our dream is to see transformed societies where mental healthcare is destigmatized, where violence and neglect are replaced with nurturing environments, and where intergenerational support systems create lasting change. As “the light to great potentials,” we strive to illuminate pathways out of poverty and trauma, replacing despair with sustainable hope.
